Welcome to Ava's Lore House

This place will dictate most of my lore, hopefully. I work on things every once in a while, and maybe this site will even be properly functional at some point!

Spaceworld Lore

Spaceworld is the name of my most prominent world, though it is mostly a long-term placeholder, as I cannot think of anything more creative for a name.

Corematter

Corematter is a crystalline material that powers life, magic, and of course various plot devices. Most beings are coric in nature, having at least some sort of magic as a result. Corematter grows into solid crystal outcrops around large populations of coric beings. There are many types of matter, affecting all levels of reality, but most documented are as follows:

Type Domain Source Color
-Dark- Physical Felumbra Purple
-Light- Energy Vennen Gold
-Ram- Life / Earth Ramnian Green
-Null- Inversal Human Crimson
-Hive- Gravity / Honey Hymae Yellow
-Molt- Petrification Ophen Obsidian
|Starmatter| Emotion / Flux Random Cyan
|Elemental| Situational Birth Planet Situational
|Goddess| Potential Godlike beings Situational
|Matterstar| Potential Matterstars Situational

Dark Core: The core of the felumbra is able to create "dark" magic, often affecting the physical properties of surrounding matter. The Felumbra use this ability frequently in the creation of paradoxical structures—anything with less than two functions is poorly built.

Light Core: The core of the vennen is able to create "light" magic, controlling energy and again illusory powers. The flow of energy between vennen is strong, represented even in their minds, linking together with special partners.

Ram Core: The core of ramnians is able to move earth and create life. Ramnians themselves are a result of this magic, their bodies expressions of their very essence within their core.

Null Core: The core of humans has two functions. The first, "Nullify", is able to deactivate coric energy. The second, "Inversal", is able to fuse with other coric energy and create completely unique coric energy signatures.

Hive Core: The Hymae use their core to make themselves light enough to fly in any atmosphere, as well as carry whatever they need behind them. Within themselves, foods are converted into coric honeys for any number of purposes.

Molt Core: The Ophen use their core to manipulate the primary force of death: petrification. The crystallization of their body harms them not, instead becoming valuable Ophen Scales, deposits of pure Molt corematter with incredible healing power.

Starmatter: An incredibly unstable form of corematter. A core of starmatter becomes less controllable during spikes in emotion, often causing distortions in reality and, in times of intense stress, eating away at its host. It is a dangerous core to have, but very helpful when channeled and managed properly.

Elemental Cores: Elemental power comes in many forms. Air, water, earth, fire, lightning, ice, the list goes on. These cores are influenced by the home planet of those born with them, which, while they need not be matterstars, they often are. Elemental cores are very simple, and easy to live with.

Goddess-Bestowed: Bestowing cores is not an active choice to those with the ability. These cores can have power in any range, though often they have a slotting of 3 unique abilities. Occasionally, there are sub-types called "Heir Cores", made to pass on the control of a god's power in full. Those in possession of an Heir Core will either be a direct descendant or a chosen successor to the power.

Matterstar: A celestial body's worth of corematter all in one place. This can range anywhere from moons to planets to even sizes beyond. The domain "Potential" describes the fact that a matterstar can bestow almost any type of core at random.

Bells

Bells are a product of any core in action. They are automatically generated within a core, and can be drawn out either through the core itself or through coric focal points. Bells contain small amounts of their parent core's power, and when bound to a user separate from their creator, they will provide a constant stream of energy until they decay. Often, there will be Bell Repositories within any civilized area, as holding excessive bells of your own causes petrification, and they are generally useless to their own creators.

Bell Trivia: An Ophen Scale is a good example of a bell. The act of god-like beings bestowing cores is analogous to a core depositing its bells. Some turn bells into candies, as corematter of any type will always have a distinct flavor, no matter what form it takes.

Vale Kalina
Vale is a dualie Felumbra from the wonderful universe of Spaceworld. Vale has black fur and short hair, and is probably some average height. Vale is Kalina's girlfriend, a job she works full-time. Vale has 3 cores: Dark, Starmatter, and Techno. Techno comes from the goddess and mother of Vale, and allows her to talk to machines as if they were other living beings. Vale is a fan of mech-fighting, but her "prime" is behind her. Nowadays she is a valuable member of a selective Felumbra organization based in the uncovering of mysteries. Kalina is a female Felumbra and girlfriend of Vale. She has grey fur with very long black hair. Kalina only has a Dark core, but is skilled with technology, especially data-gathering. As much as Vale might try to have secret adventures in an effort to discover her past, Kalina is unable to be shaken. Even in their first meeting, with Vale disguised as an ordinary service drone, Kalina saw through her easily. As they grew closer, Kalina bore witness to Vale's true form, and together they eliminated the cause of Vale's hiding.
